Some materials that you need are cardio equipment, weight training equipment, and a healthy diet. First of all, what you want to do is look at how you are going to lose weight. The basic formula is you want to burn more calories than you're taking in. So, how do you burn off those extra calories? Well, if you can go on a simple walk and make sure that you're burning about an extra 250 calories a day, that is one way you can do that. You can also choose to get on an elliptical machine, go rollerblading, or swim. Any type of cardio activity, whether you're using equipment or not, you need to get your heart rate up anywhere between 20 to 60 minutes at a go. You can burn anywhere between 250 to 500 calories per session. Next, what you want to do is reduce the number of calories that you're taking in. So, you want to reduce the number of calories in your diet and look at what you're eating. Again, make sure that you're eating good fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, and drink lots of water. If you can create a deficit of about 250 calories a day and you're burning off 3,500 calories, that's one pound. So, multiply that out in one week, you need to create a deficit of 7,000 calories in order for you to burn off two pounds a week.
