Good evening, thank you so much to everyone for coming out. We are thrilled to be here for the opening of this exhibition tonight, although we may be a little nervous. My name is Michael Hayes, and for those who are visiting and may not know, I am joined by Andrew Holder. We co-curated the exhibition outside and will attempt to explain it tonight. We truly believe that if we can convey our explanation effectively, you will see that the show is actually quite enjoyable and worthy of study and reflection. We hope that tonight, which is just the opening of the exhibition, will not feel like a formal presentation. Instead, we want it to be a conversation. We plan to leave enough time for audience questions, answers, and comments because we have been striving to foster public discourse in our school. This discourse continues in our hallways, studios, and classrooms, and we view this exhibition as a contribution to that ongoing conversation. We hope that through gallery talks, perhaps with some of the faculty, we can further develop and continue this discourse. First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to our generous patrons, Mohsen and Pack. Thank you for your support and leadership, although we apologize in advance for any expenses that may arise. We would also like to acknowledge Ken, Paige, and the communications office, as well as Dan Borelli and David Zimmerman Stuart, who lead the exhibition's team.
