Instructions and Help about Fill Form 8854 Complied

Okay, welcome to part three. We are going over how to do the lighting portion of the energy part six title 24 code and compliance forms for California. In this video, we'll be going over how to fill out these confusing forms. So, once you've entered all your information in Energy Pro (to know how to do that, check out our last video), it will generate this great form for you as a PDF. Right now, I'm using a program called Blue Beam. If you don't have Blue Beam, go get it. It's fabulous. It does cost money, unfortunately, but you can get a free trial if you don't already have it and you're stuck with nothing. Check it out and see how awesome it is, and then convince whoever is in charge of money to buy it for you. We're going over how to do some Blue Beam, but you can also do this in other PDF editing software. It may not be as easy, but you can do it. A number of things will already be filled out when you print this from Energy Pro. You'll have "non-residential" checked, "complete building" checked, "conditioned space" checked, and then these are filled out. But later on, we will have some yes/no columns that are not checked. This is directly correlated to these checks. So, if you've checked "taylor method", then "taylor method" will be yes over here. It's basically a table of contents, so your numbers should be filled out. Oh, incidentally, I forgot to say in our last video, you do need to figure out what your total area is. And I always since that needs to be corresponding with your mechanical folks and your envelope folks, you should really get your area from them so that it's consistent....
